About the Author

Dale Edwin (pseudonym) has lived and traveled in the Middle East for many years and has a deep love and respect for Arab culture. Possessing a Master's degree in Intercultural studies with a focus on Islam and the Middle East, he has invested his life in communicating truth across the cultures of the Muslim world.

First working in full time ministry with a traditional non-profit missions board, Dale found that when the same ol' strategies were applied 'like we've always done' much damage was done to the testimony of Christ, and more barriers were created among Muslims than inroads. Dale now works with an entrepreneurial group as a consultant for businesses and non-profits who operate and work with partners in the region.

Dale has also traveled and spoken in the USA and Latin America at various churches and groups. He has written courses and delivered training on Islam, in addition to teaching high school, college age and adults.

The Outer Court is his work in progress calling the Evangelical church to its place as a force of influence for the gospel in the Muslim world. This book is dedicated to the millions of Muslim background believers who endure untold hardships to love their neighbor and serve their savior. May the God who sees what is not seen, reward your faithfulness.

Dale's hobbies include web and technology, running, cycling, scuba diving and otherwise adventuring. He and his wife and two children reside in the Middle East. They do not live in tents, but have occasionally ridden camels.
