Quran Burning Day Remember the church in FL that put a sign our front reading 'Islam is of the Devil'? They're up to more no-good now and getting international attention by suggesting a 'burn the Koran' day on Sept 11. Read an interesting news article here giving some background to the pastor and church, as well as reaction from around the world including Al-Azhar in Cairo, Generals in the US military and even Jewish groups in the US. I urge you to speak out against this counterproductive idiocracy. You might consider writing the pastor himself, or mobilizing your church to reach out to Muslims in your community on Sept 11. Though we cannot agree with terrorism, or the events of Sept 11, we need to remember that these acts were committed by a small crazy minority. Responding by denegrating and insulting the Muslim holy book is not going to have a positive effect. What can you do to make your position known to the Muslim community?           |
