Three Things About Islam

Video on YouTube done in an interesting style...

These three points are very valid.  Reading my blog and book in progress, one might get the impression that I'm a proponent of the 'Islam is Peaceful' mantra.  I need to make clear, though I am convinced (and have statistics to support it) that most Muslims do not wish war and terrorism were intimately associated with Islam, if Muslims follow the Qur'an according to a strict interpretation, these doctrines should be followed.
Studying Islam however, one discovers that there are many interpretations, just like in Christianity and Judaism.  The fact remains that only a minority agree with the above interpretation, thus making their (correct?) opinions of Jihad, Sharia Law etc. a minority opinion.
Regardless of the what Muslims truly believe, our posture towards them needs to follow what Jesus taught.  Many times email forwards and videos like these are used by Christians to justify hatred and fear-mongering, to salve their conscience regarding the lack of obedience to scripture in our mission to the Muslim world.  If Christians spent as much time engaging Muslims in their community as they do consuming content critical about Islam, we might start to see the chasm of conflict between Christians and Muslims disappear.
